New state and high schools are being planned for the growing area of Logan Reserve. The 2 new schools will be located next to one another but will operate as separate schools and open for Term 1, 2024.
The design of the new school is being finalised. Details of the facilities and learning spaces will be shared in early 2022.
The new schools will increase capacity in the local schooling network and provide enrolment relief to Logan Reserve State School, Logan Village State School, Crestmead State School, Waterford West State School, Marsden State High School, Browns Plains State High School and Park Ridge State High School.

Project status
- This project is in the planning phase.
- The department has identified a preferred location for the school, which will require the amalgamation of a number of sites. One of the properties has been acquired by the department and negotiations have begun with the adjoining landowner for the preferred site.
- Planning and approval processes are in progress.
What’s next
- Traffic, vegetation, acoustic, storm water and other impacts on the proposed new site are being considered.
- Finalise the school design.
